As we approach World Refugee Day (June 20) and celebrate 80 years of Church World Service, consider participating in an easy, meaningful engagement opportunity for your congregation: Journey for Justice.
Journey for Justice is a flexible, faith-centered “42.5-mile challenge,” inspired by the 42.5 million refugees worldwide. Participants can walk, bike, swim, or combine activities over a weekend, a week, or a month—while raising funds to support CWS programs serving refugees in the U.S. and around the world.
For congregations, Journey for Justice is a meaningful way to:
- Make faith visible through action
- Expand mission beyond the pews
- Fundraise beyond the collection plate
- Live out the call to welcome the stranger (Matthew 25:35)
In a world marked by fear and division, Journey for Justice is a faithful witness of welcome, hope, and love of neighbor.
