Convergence (formerly known as the Center for Progressive Renewal) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting progressive Christian congregations and leaders. They help congregations navigate transformation by offering services such as strategic planning, leadership coaching, online learning, and congregational assessments. Damascus Project was founded by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Conferences to respond to a rapidly changing church and world that needs well-equipped leadership in a wide variety of settings, lay leaders who feel empowered, and access to safe spaces in which to form new communities and explore questions of theology and practice. Eden Theological Seminary’s Ministry Cohorts program offer peer learning on a topic of interest. Scholars have chosen a specific lens on a particular topic and share their expertise through digital content you watch on your own time. Four monthly online meetings are interspersed, where you and your cohort members gather for facilitated discussion with an experienced church leader. Ignite: Microcredentials for Ministry is a non-degree training initiative at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary designed to equip lay pastors and ministry leaders with the skills and theological grounding needed to serve 21st-century churches and communities. Built for those already engaged in ministry or preparing to answer a call, this program offers short-term, online microcredentials in ministry – stackable sets of courses designed to develop practical competencies in preaching, pastoral care, theological teaching, and more.

Maine School of Ministry works with students discovering a path to pastoral ministry, and those practicing congregational leadership, combining classroom learning and core ministry competencies, helping you practice theological education for the life of the church. Other UCC Conferences: Many Conferences of the United Church of Christ offer online training opportunities that are open to authorized ministers across the denomination. PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc. is a program affiliated with the Southeast Conference UCC that offers courses for those seeking authorized ministry, wanting continuing education, and/or looking for a progressive theology, ethics, or practical church course.
