Warm Lines

Hotlines or crisis lines tend to be focused on keeping you safe and connecting you to crisis service. Warmlines, on the other hand, are phone numbers you can call when you need someone to talk to, whether you’re in crisis or not. They generally run on a peer support model and are usually staffed by trained volunteers. They are free and confidential.

There are many warmlines, and they vary by state. Be sure to check their hours of operation, whether they take out of state calls, and any particular focus the line may have.
