Conflict is a pervasive feature of contemporary churches. Faith communities face increasingly complex and difficult matters, and the ensuing dynamics often leave congregations and their leaders navigating the aftermath of conflict. In “Embodied Reconciliation: Congregational Healing as Pastoral Care,” Leanna Fuller describes four sets of communal practices: truth telling, grieving and lamenting, confessing and repenting, blessing and releasing that church members can engage in as concrete steps toward healing their relationships with one another.
