Our mission at the Keystone Conference Addiction Recovery Task Force is:
“To equip and empower individuals and communities throughout PA to foster recovery through faith, destigmatization, training, and relationship building with community stakeholders.”
“To equip and empower individuals and faith communities in the Keystone Conference with evidence-based tools and training to break the cycle of addiction and walk in lasting freedom, purpose, and restoration.”
“To see lives transformed by the power of God through addiction recovery training that restores identity, rebuilds families/ communities, and ignites purpose.”
“To raise up trained leaders who bring hope, healing, and sustainable recovery to individuals and communities affected by addiction.”
“To create a movement of healing by training and equipping people to lead others out of addiction into wholeness, faith, and freedom. To remove silos and build relationship between the Conference and the larger addiction recovery community”
“Restoring lives. Equipping leaders. Normalizing recovery and making it readily accessible.”
“To provide transformational training that addresses the Bio, Psycho, Social, and Spiritual areas of addiction recovery. To cultivate a holistic recovery culture in the Keystone Conference.”
Help us to get numbers!!! Below is a very brief survey to get a sense of how addiction and recovery is effecting the lives of our congregations, clergy, and extended community. Churches like Calvary Chapel and ministries like Celebrate recovery have grown immense memberships based on their approach to addiction recovery. Is this a present issue in our churches? Those other ministries reject LGBTQ inclusion and even offer conversion ministries. We could serve the recovery community in an affirming way that those churches simply cannot. Please take time to complete the survey below and please share with any congregations that you have connection to. This Taskforce believes that God is calling us to unite with the addiction recovery community, with service providers, and with families that simply don’t know where to turn. Please pray for this ministry and please lend your efforts to serve God’s children who are currently sick and suffering.
