Diversity/Anti-Racism Training – “Grace, Difference, Truth, and Beloved Community: A Formation Framework for Intercultural Discipleship”

August 13 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Virtual Event

3 hours of Diversity/Anti-Racism training for authorized ministers

What if the challenges facing our churches, communities, and society are not primarily problems of information, but problems of formation?

Many approaches to diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and intercultural ministry begin with information: history, systems, statistics, privilege, bias, and social analysis. Such knowledge matters. But information alone rarely transforms human beings. Before we can engage difference with honesty, humility, courage, and compassion, we must first develop the spiritual, emotional, and relational capacities required to encounter realities beyond our own experience.

Drawing from Scripture, Christian spiritual practice, reflection, conversation, and communal learning, this series explores how God’s grace enlarges the human heart and prepares us for the deeper work of discipleship in a diverse and changing world. The focus is not simply on what we believe, but on who we are becoming.

The series follows a simple but powerful progression:
Grace creates capacity.
Capacity engages difference.
Difference reveals truth.
Truth makes beloved community possible.
